Imagine standing on a city wall. You see danger coming in the distance. You shout, you wave, you plead—but
no one listens. That was the burden of Ezekiel. He was not just a prophet; he was a watchman—appointed by
God to warn His people of coming judgment. The warning was clear: turn from sin or perish.
This is not just Ezekiel's story. It’s Christ’s story. Jesus is not merely the bearer of good news—He is the
embodied call from sin. The trumpet that Ezekiel was told to sound (Ez. 33:6) has echoed through the ages
in the voice of Christ: Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near (Matthew 4:17)!
