November 23, 2025 - Jesus In All | Jesus in Revelation: King of kings and Lord of lords

Revelation opens with the blazing declaration: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” (Rev. 1:1). The Greek ἀποκάλυψις (apokalypsis) means unveiling. Revelation is not primarily about beasts, judgments, dragons, or dates—it is written with the focus right at the start…the unveiling of Jesus Christ as the triumphant, eternal, sovereign King. Written around AD 95 during the oppressive reign of Emperor Domitian, who demanded to be called “Lord and God,” Revelation boldly declares: “No…JESUS ALONE is Lord and God!”

The persecuted believers in Asia Minor needed this powerful message: Empires rise and fall, but the King of kings reigns forever. Suffering is real, but His victory is certain. History is shaking, but Jesus is making all things new.” This leads us directly to Revelation 21:5, where the enthroned Christ declares: “Behold, I make all things new.”
