November 2, 2025 - Jesus In All | Jesus Is Our Healer

James, the half-brother of Jesus and leader of the Jerusalem church, wrote to scattered Jewish believers around AD 45–49, one of the earliest New Testament writings. These believers faced persecution, poverty, and division—does that feel a little familiar? Yet James calls them—and us—to a faith that works—a faith that acts, endures, and heals.

In James 5:16, healing is not merely physical recovery; it is complete wholeness—restoration of body, soul, and spirit through Christ. At RLC, “Jesus Christ the Healer" is one of our four cornerstone truths: Jesus saves, Jesus baptizes in the Holy Spirit, Jesus heals, and Jesus is the soon-coming King. Just as James calls believers to pray for one another, Jesus still stretches out His hand to heal. The same Christ who touched lepers, opened blind eyes, and raised the dead now restores broken lives through the power of His cross and resurrection.
